Boiler Repair & Alteration Projects

Chemithon Constructors project management group has completed an extensive number of projects involving boiler repairs and alterations. Our staff has experience with all types of boilers including the following:

• Power Boilers – fired fuels such as coal, gas, oil, trash, wood and refinery bi-products. Boilers have ranged in size from 100,000 PPH up to and including 4 million PPH.
• Heat recovery steam generators for combined cycle cogeneration plants
• Chemical recovery boilers for pulp and paper industry plants
• Circulating fluidized bed boilers for various industrial applications
• Water and fire tube package boilers

Work scopes for repair and alteration projects have included the following:

• Pressure part replacements including superheaters, reheaters, economizer elements, waterwall panels, headers, generator tubes, mud and steam drum replacements.
• General boiler repairs have included firebrick and refractory repairs / replacement including extensive bull nose, anchor and external casing repairs.
• Work on auxiliary systems and equipment has included repairs and / or replacement of fans, duct work, air preheaters, cyclone repairs, fuel feed equipment, ash systems, piping, instrumentation, burner repairs / replacement and low NOx conversion retrofits.
